Ukrainians are currently living in conditions of uncertainty. The constant flow of information, war, and various manipulations can lead to an increase in conflicts and misunderstandings. In such conditions, it is necessary not only to constantly support oneself but also to learn skills that help resolve conflicts through communication and dialogue.

The United Voices in Action program invites you to join a series of three-day “United Community” trainings in nine Ukrainian communities: Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kremenchuk, Lviv, Chervonohrad, Poltava, Dnipro, Lutsk, and Bila Tserkva.

The training is aimed at uniting local residents and IDPs; rallying them to solve problems at the local level.

During communication and dialogue practice, you will be able to gain new knowledge and skills in effective communication, avoid stereotypes and hostile language, meet like-minded people, and be inspired by ideas and ready-made achievements for recovery and gradual changes in your own life and community.

Special attention will be paid to media literacy during the training. Using real examples, you will be able to master critical thinking skills; analyze types of manipulation, facts, and judgments; and identify possible informational influences and disinformation. Specially designed practical exercises will help you learn to understand the media space and analyze information for everyday and professional life.

IDPs age 30+ and residents of host communities are both invited to participate in the trainings.

The schedule for “United Community” trainings will be three days for eight hours each day.

Training dates are as follows:

  • March 14-16, 2023 in Rivne and Zhytomyr
