IDP Councils

People who were forced to relocate to another city or region as a result of the war in Ukraine can become equal participants in the economic and social life of their new community. For this purpose, we have an effective mechanism in place which is the councils of internally displaced persons at local and regional authorities (IDP councils), which are being established as part of the United Voices in Action program.

An IDP Council is a consultative and advisory body that brings together internally displaced persons with a strong civic position, relevant experience, and knowledge to help protect the rights and interests of IDPs in the region. The council operates on a voluntary, non-partisan, and unpaid basis.
