Quest in Zhytomyr: IDP Children Discover the City

It can be difficult for IDP children to find friends in a new place, whether it’s in school, in clubs, or among neighbors. As part of its integration activities, United Voices in Action introduces IDP children to local kids and the new community, as well as organizes interesting leisure activities for them to meet one another.

A similar event was held in Zhytomyr. A total of 40 young residents of Zhytomyr (both locals and those who moved here as a result of the war) participated in an exciting quest around the city: they were searching for treasures, learning about the city’s history, visiting the Space Museum, drawing, and sharing their impressions.

They created a joint Telegram chat and continued to communicate. Some of them learned that they live next door to their new friends, making it easier to get together again. So, the task has been successfully completed. ✅

We would like to thank Svitlana Prokofyeva, regional coordinator of the United Voices in Action program in the Zhytomyrska Oblast, for the wonderful children’s event!
